Danika Brinda is an Associate Professor in Health Informatics and Information Management at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She is also the owner of TriPoint Healthcare Solutions which provides privacy and security consulting services to healthcare organizations. Danika has been extremely active in the Minnesota Health Information Management Association, holding multiple volunteer positions, including President in 2013-14 and Advocacy Co-Chair in 2014-15. Danika has also volunteered on a variety of committees for AHIMA, including the Professional Practices Experience (PPE) workgroup. Danika serves as an expert in healthcare privacy and security. She is a local and national speaker on all topics related to healthcare privacy and security. She is the recipient 2010 recipient of AHIMA’s Rising Star Triumph Award.
